A JOURNEY THROUGH NATURE AND HISTORY
The town of Torno is located on a hill where it towers over the first basin of Lake Como and in front, on the opposite shore, there is Moltrasio and Mount Boletto (1236 m) behind it.
The Municipality is made up of sub-municipalities of Rasina, Perlasca, Montepiatto and Piazzaga. Traces of pre-Roman settlements have been found in the area, as evidenced by the so-called Avelli boulders (stones dug for burial purposes) found in the woods near Piazzaga.

DISCOVER TORNO
As mentioned above, the small town of Torno has been inhabited since ancient times: this is evidenced by the pre-Roman settlements within its borders.
However, there is much more to the history of the small village than its ancient days. Points of interest include Villa Pliniana, Villa Zita and the Church of San Giovanni, built in Romanesque Gothic style.
A visit to Pietra Pendula, a natural monument, and walks along the Strada Regia are a must-do for lovers of nature.
